The short version: we count visits so we know which questions work, and we collect nothing about your child.
Your children's ages, which activities you've ticked off, and whether you've dismissed the home-screen prompt are all stored in your browser. They never reach us, and clearing your browser data removes them.
If you agree to analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It records your approximate location (city level, from your IP address), your device and browser type, the pages you open, and which activities you expand. IP addresses are anonymised before storage.
We use this to decide which questions to write more of, which ones to drop, and whether families come back the next day. Nothing else.
If you use the feedback form, we store the name you give, your message, your rating, and your email address if you chose to add one. Your children's ages are included so we know which age group the comment relates to. We only publish a comment on the site if you ticked the box giving permission, and then only your first name appears.
Email addresses are used to reply to you and nothing else. You can ask us to delete anything you've sent by getting in touch.
Analytics is off until you agree, and you can switch it back off at any time using the “Analytics” link at the bottom of the site. Turn it off and nothing further is recorded.
PuzzleBub is designed for a parent or carer to use alongside a child. We don't knowingly collect any personal data from children, and the activities themselves need no input from us to work.
For anything privacy-related, including asking us to delete your data, use the feedback form on the site and mark it as a gripe — it reaches the two of us directly.
